Since the foundation of datango AG it has financially been supported by several venture capital companies. US based Atlas Venture had been investing in datango from 2000 until 2008. After a successful re-organisation and merger with Kobit GmbH in 2004, the company gained two other known investors.

In November 2006 Hasso Plattner Ventures and Falk Strascheg Holding (previously involved in Extorel)  invested in datango. Hovewer the majority of the company is still held by founders, management and employees.

Hasso Plattner Ventures

Founded on July 1st 2005 in the German city of Potsdam, Hasso Plattner Ventures has set out to support young entrepreneurs with the successful transformation of their ideas into marketable products.

Falk Strascheg Holding

As one of the founding partners of EXTOREL, a leading Venture Capital organisation, Falk F. Strascheg is one of the most experienced and most successful venture capitalists in Germany and Europe.
