Mr. Oswald P. Zimmermann was responsible for the development of the marketing organization for IT-based personnel development projects as the Manager of KoBiT Gesellschaft für Konzepte, Bildung und Training mbH and LaserMedia GmbH near Düsseldorf.

Zimmermann came to datango in 2005, where he was appointed to the executive board in April. After his studies in business administration, Zimmermann began his career as a Management Trainee in the IT-Sales Department of Taylorix AG, Stuttgart, and at Triumph-Adler AG, Düsseldorf. After that he headed the Sales Support department of the e-learning specialist NETGmbH.

In 2008, he was listed in the final round as "Entrepreneur of the year" by Ernst & Young, one of the world's leading professional services organizations. In 2010, he was appointed as a European Economic Senator for the fields of e-learning and process automation and navigation. As a senator, he will
immediately take on an active role as an advisor to political decisionmakers.

Before coming to datango and being appointed to the executive board, Dr. Jochen Wiechen was CTO of the venture capital company Marlet Venture Management Ltd where he was not only responsible for the overall technical strategy but also for the portfolio's technical development.

With a doctorate in physics he began his career at PSI AG in Berlin, first as a Software Developer and Project Manager, later stepping up to Manager of Application Development in ERP systems. From 1994 onwards Jochen Wiechen headed the industrial standard products business division for PSI AG. In 1997 he became Vice President and Managing Director for Psipenta GmbH, Berlin.

Stephen Walsh, before being appointed to the executive board, joined datango from Progress Software (NASDAQ: PRGS) where he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Progress' EasyAsk division. Prior to Progress he served as General Manager, Americas, Enlight, a company acquired by the datango group in 2007. He has also held senior sales and marketing positions at Fast Search and Transfer, a Microsoft Subsidiary focused on enterprise search; x.hlp, a privately held company acquired by Enlight; and RM plc (LSE: RM), Europe's largest supplier of technology to education. Stephen began his career within the marketing organization at 3M (NYSE: MMM) in the United Kingdom.

Steve is based in datango's Boston, USA office and holds a BS in Managerial and Administrative Studies from the Aston University Business School, UK, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

Born in Neuss near Düsseldorf, Markus Rosskothen gained his first sales experience during his school education. Having finished his IT Management Assistant apprenticeship successfully, Rosskothen came to Kobit/Laser Media in 2002 where he was appointed Sales Representative for OnDemand. 

Since 2005 he has been working for datango. In the beginning of 2009 he was appointed Vice President for Sales GAS.

Born in the Netherlands, Maarten Kaanen has been working in German companies for over 10 years.

For more than 13 years he has been with IT companies such as Magixx AG, dooyoo AG and PSI AG and has been responsible for the development of sound financial structures. In these positions he accompanied several Initial Public Offerings.

Before coming to Germany Maarten Kaanen was Regional Controller at Baan Company in the Netherlands and spent 5 years at Stork NV in Spain.

As Chief Financial Officer Kaanen is now responsible for finance, administration and personnel department at datango.

As one of the co-founders of datango, Vice President of Software Engineering Stefan Dahlke has been responsible for the architecture and development of our software from the very beginning.

Since his teenage years, Stefan has been passionate about the impact of technology on people and he made his hobby a profession by studying information technology with a focus on visualization and human computer interaction at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany and at the University of Illinois in Chicago, USA.

Since co-founding the company in 1999, Stefan has been at the heart of datango’s software development team and now leads our software engineers located in Berlin, Germany, Oslo, Norway and Bangalore, India.

Prior to datango Stefan was involved in website development and 3D visualization projects at ART+COM AG, Berlin, Germany.
